Jason Buxbaum
President and Founder
Jason’s 25-year long career in commercial real estate began in Chicago, where he worked with his family on a diversified portfolio of commercial assets.
In 2005, Jason relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where he started in multifamily brokerage. From brokerage, Jason moved to the principal side of multifamily as the Vice President of Acquisitions for ColRich, a CALPERS partner.
Since founding Jevan Capital in 2009, Jason has overseen the acquisition and reposition of more than 217 properties. Focusing on large multifamily projects, Jevan has acquired more than 4,000 apartment units with a total basis of $337,450,000. The portfolio is capitalized with more than $111,000,000 in equity raised entirely by Jason.
As of January 2022, Jevan has sold 18 significant assets, generating $389,000,000 in sales and an average IRR of 31.3%.
Jason resides in Phoenix with his wife and son. Together they enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle as well as supporting the local arts and burgeoning downtown Phoenix area. They support numerous local charities including The Boys and Girl Club, UMOM, Free Arts of Arizona, Generation Justice, Foundation for Blind Children, and The Phoenix Art Museum. Jason graduated from Union College with a dual BS in Economics and Art History.

Chad Graves
Controller
Chad has over ten years of public accounting and private industry experience, predominantly with firms which serve the private equity and real estate investment sectors. In addition to providing compliance and consulting services to a wide variety of clients, he has significant experience with the accounting and taxation of multi-tiered partnerships and other pass-through entities.
Chad joined Jevan Capital in March of 2021 as Investment Accounting Manager and now serves as Controller. He oversees the Property Accounting Department and Construction Accounting Department, including the preparation of all financial reports for our investment funds and partnerships, Treasury, establishment of internal controls, policies & procedures, and coordinates contributions and distributions. Chad also oversees the preparation of tax returns and audits by outside CPA firms.
Chad graduated from California State University’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics with a degree in Accounting. He holds a Certificate in Organizational Leadership (Student Leadership Institute, CSUF, 2010), Certificate in Career Leadership (Student Leadership Institute, CSUF, 2010), and Certificate in Emerging Leaders (Student Leadership Institute, CSUF, 2010). Additional accomplishments include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) – CPA Exam Candidate Affiliate Member and a member of the Accounting Society, California State University, Fullerton – Alumni.
Chad, who is originally from Southern California, lives in Queen Creek, Arizona with his wife and their four children. When Chad is not running between kid’s sporting activities, he enjoys camping trips, mountain biking, barbequing, and volunteering at his church.

Ken Maki
Senior Project Manager
Ken has 20 plus years of experience in Project and Construction Management. Ken Maki has built a reputation for his creativity, competence, and ability to deliver great value to investors with a focus on the high rate of return. With a keen eye, attention to detail, and passion for construction, he has acquired in-depth knowledge in building procedures, building codes, and personnel supervision. This knowledge enables him to offer guidance to contractors and ensure that renovation projects are successful. As a dedicated team leader, he focuses on improving operations, driving the company’s growth, and formulating ideas to turn the company around and make work seamless.
He started his career as Superintendent at Turner Dunn Homes. Since then, he has worked as a Project Manager at Palacia Homes, Superintendent at Alliance Residential Company, Owner-Operator at KLM Construction, and Field Manager at Shea Homes. Committed to his career, Ken’s notable academic qualifications include an Associate Degree in Project Management from the University of Phoenix, Home Inspection Certification from Arizona School of Business & Real Estate, and OSHA 10 Certification.
By combining his education and experience, Ken is equipped with excellent communication and organization skills. He is a problem solver who identifies and mitigates potential issues by future-proofing and integrating relevant technologies in order to achieve the company’s goals without fail. Be it residential, multi-family, or commercial construction and renovation, Ken will work tirelessly to ensure there is consistent success across every project.
When he is not at work, Ken loves spending time with his loving wife of 20 years. Other than that, he enjoys engaging in outdoor activities, working on his vehicles in the garage, camping, going for road trips in their Jeeps, and volunteering with the U.S. Forest Service through TRAL.
